Before falling into the dream, I seemed to have thoughts that were not my own.

Before falling asleep and half asleep, the brain is in the alpha and theta wave states, and both consciousness and subconsciousness are susceptible to suggestion. In this transitional period that is like a dream or not like a dream, it is like a link between two levels, and people will have hallucinations or thoughts similar to dreams. Sleep can be seen as a temporary "escape" - freeing from reality and struggling between consciousness and consciousness. It symbolizes the cycle of life and death, waking and dreaming, the mysterious realm on the boundary between consciousness and unconsciousness, life and death, and repeated small deaths and rebirths in life. Through this periodic "retreat", people can be spiritually purified and reborn. Falling asleep requires a process, just like entering a dream requires a connection. And this process is the period when people's thinking defense system and discrimination ability are the worst: autonomous consciousness has not completely disappeared, but the logical system has become blurred, and some thoughts and even patterns that would not be conceived when awake are constructed.

In the installation work Link, I collected the alpha and theta waves of the brain in the data, overlapped the two waves, and averaged 9 completely overlapping points. According to the undulating shapes, I used 9 semicircular glasses to place them in 9 frames, and painted the glass with gray and translucent white sand-like paint, symbolizing the struggle between self-consciousness and subconsciousness for thinking. It is this chaos that creates the distorted and irregular interesting patterns in the glass.

When you approach the frame in the middle, the red light will light up.

Don't try to stare at the glass in this frame (be careful of your eyes).

Perhaps this red light,

will appear in the picture before you fall asleep.
